Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Stencly: AR Drawing & Tracer (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Stencly is a drawing assistant that overlays traceable stencils on real paper via three modes: Camera, Lightbox, and AR. The App includes a template library and an AI-powered stencil generator (PRO). Stencly is a creative tool — it does not draw for you; you draw with it.

Subscriptions

Stencly PRO is available as a subscription through the Apple App Store. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
  • Weekly, monthly, and yearly plans are available
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
  • Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

AI-Generated Content

Stencly's AI stencil generator (PRO) produces line-art outlines based on text prompts you provide. You are responsible for the prompts you submit. Do not enter prompts that request content violating any third party's rights, or that request content depicting real people without their consent, or that request unlawful, sexual, or violent material.

We reserve the right to block or filter prompts we believe violate these terms. AI-generated outputs are provided as-is, and we make no guarantees about their accuracy or fitness for any specific purpose.

Content Ownership

Anything you draw on paper with Stencly is yours. You retain full rights to the artwork you create. You may share, sell, or license your traced drawings without owing us anything.

Stencly's template library and app assets are owned by Maven Studios and are provided for personal use within the App. You may not extract, resell, or redistribute the underlying template images.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt our servers or bypass rate limits
  • Use automated systems to extract templates or AI-generated images from the App
  • Trace copyrighted images you do not have rights to for commercial use (personal use for practice is generally fair use — check your jurisdiction)

Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. AI generation depends on third-party infrastructure and may be unavailable temporarily. Camera and Lightbox modes work offline once templates are cached.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maven Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
